BRIEF HISTORY GENERAL INFORMATION ARRIVAL PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Driving
As in continental Europe, Estonians drive on the right -hand side of the road. Estonian law requires an international driving licence and valid insurance policy. The driver and front - seat passenger must wear seatbelts at all times.
Within the city the speed limit is 30 - 50 km/h, on the roads 70 - 90km/h, in summer on some roads 110 km/h. Remember, please don't drink and drive!
International fuel stations are easy to find. The largest international chains operating in Estonia are Statoil, Shell and Neste.

Parking
Parking is charged in the city centre and Old Town area. A valid parking ticket must be displayed in your windshield from 7.00 - 18.00 on weekdays and 8.00 - 15.00 on Saturdays in the city centre. In Old Town parking is for pay 24 hours. Tickets are sold by special guards and are 3 EEK for 15 minutes in the city centre and 12 EEK for 15 minutes in Old Town.
